On 26 July 2025, Preah Vihear National Authority issued a press release on the rescue of 45 Preah Vihear National Authority staff who were trapped on the Preah Vihear Temple.
45 Preah Vihear National Authority staff, including travel agency workers, environmental workers, and security personnel, were trapped on the mountain of Preah Vihear Temple during their daily work due to the Thai armed forces’ heavy artillery and F-16 bombing of the Preah Vihear Temple and its surrounding area since 9:00 AM on 24 July 2025.
